It has grown from a small and modest “hospital in a house” into a modern diversified community-based Hospital and campus.

Our Proud Past
Campbellford Memorial Hospital has a rich history of community support and outreach. Our hospital was built as a memorial to citizens serving in World War II, especially to those who paid the supreme sacrifice in service. Fueled by the dedication of the Rotary and Kinsmen Clubs, the Auxiliary to the hospital and many individuals, the community gave generously. Their shared vision of a new hospital took shape when Campbellford Memorial Hospital officially opened its doors in 1953.
Since then, both hospital and patients have benefited from a community of physicians, nurses, volunteers, administration, management and volunteers – all dedicated to providing quality care.
Serving Community Needs Today
Our dedicated medical team serves approximately 30,000 Northumberland, Peterborough and Hastings County residents, as well as a large seasonal population of cottagers and tourists enjoying the beautiful Kawartha Lakes Region and the Trent River System.
As an acute care medical facility with a 24-hour Emergency Department, our hospital is equipped with the latest medical and diagnostic equipment thanks to ongoing community support, local service clubs, the Auxiliary to the Hospital, and the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation.
As part of your continuum of care, our services are complemented by our community health care partners including area hospitals and community health care agencies.
