Volunteers

Choosing to be a volunteer at CMH can be a rewarding experience. Your talents and expertise will complement our professional staff, ensuring each patient’s stay is a pleasant one. CMH has a wide variety of volunteer opportunities. You can be assured that your time volunteering will be well-spent. Volunteering provides you with the opportunity to use your existing skills or gain new skills in areas of interest to you.

Our Volunteer Services Team includes adults and youth volunteers. Together they provide services to enrich and extend care to our patients, residents and families. They are dedicated, creative and caring people who enjoy creating a warm and caring environment for our patients, taking the time to offer a cheery smile or sit and hold a patient hand to provide a little comfort.

Every effort is made to match the talents, skills and interests of our volunteers with the Hospital’s services and programs. Our volunteers are involved in many areas the Hospital from out-patient services to in-patient and geriatrics on the Acute Floor, facilitating staff to best meet the needs of patients and their families.

We hope you will join our team. We know that you will find your experience here a rewarding one.

Youth Volunteers
This program provides students (ages 14 and older) the opportunity to experience the spirit of volunteerism, enabling them to learn more about health related disciplines, while offering support to their community. Youth volunteers provide life enrichment to our patients. They perform tasks such as delivering ice water and magazines to patients, and completing other duties as assigned.
