Guidelines for Media Representatives
- Media inquiries should be directed to Lynda Tinney at 705-653-1140 ext. 2006 during regular office hours Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On weekends/evenings inquiries can be made to the switchboard at 705-653-1140 and switchboard will contact the management member on call.
- All news media representatives (whether on the telephone or in person) should identify themselves and the organization they represent.
- News media representatives working under specific deadlines should advise the hospital contact so that every possible effort can be made to provide the requested information prior to deadline.
In order to ensure that the media receive the information/spokesperson they seek in a timely and accurate manner, hospital personnel will ask a number of key questions. They include:
- Caller name, media outlet and contact information (phone, email, fax)
- Story deadline
- What is triggering the story and what questions/information/spokesperson are being requested?
- What other sources are being approached for the story?
Timely answers to these questions will assist with your request.
When on Hospital premises, all members of the media must be accompanied by hospital staff or Campbellford Memorial Hospital delegates at all times.
This policy is in effect regardless of whether the request for an interview or photograph was initiated by a patient, relative, physician, volunteer, staff member, or by the media organization itself.
