Overview
Central Bookings schedules most diagnostic procedures including x-rays, mammograms, ultrasounds and blood pressure monitors. Clinic appointments with specialists, and the Diabetic and Healthy Heart Program are also booked through Central Bookings.
A referral or requisition is forwarded to the department from your physician. A booking clerk will then call you to schedule your appointment. Appointments are scheduled based on urgency. If your referral is non-urgent you should hear back within three to four working days.
Central Bookings also schedules procedures done in the Operating Room. Once it is decided you need surgery, your referral is forwarded to Central Bookings. A representative will contact you regarding paper work, preparation, etc.
