Community Diabetes Educational Programs
The Campbellford Memorial Hospital Community Diabetes Education Five-Day Program helps individuals with diabetes to achieve better knowledge and awareness of diabetes and its implications. It empowers clients to manage their own health. The program offers access to a multidisciplinary health team, including: diabetes educator, dietitian, physiotherapist and pharmacist. Anyone with diabetes, their families and friends, who want to gain an understanding about diabetes and how to manage it, should attend. The program is suitable for those with:

The five half-day program runs Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each month. Handouts, literature and four follow up visits are also included. The program is open to anyone who wants to gain an understanding about diabetes. No referral is necessary. One day, evening programs, and various other workshops are offered throughout the year.

The Diabetes Support Group meets the last Monday of every month. We have guest speakers, open discussion, sharing of recipes and information related to diabetes. Everyone is welcome and it is free of charge. For more information, please contact the diabetes educator at 705-632-2024.
