The Trent Hills Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee is a mix of solid medical and business professionals. Funded by the Municipality and the Hospital, the group is committed to ensuring new physicians feel at home and have the support they need to get established, whether transitioning to full-time practice or to a one-week locum.
Physicians may also wish to take advantage of our 'Partner Employment Assistance Program' if a family member is transitioning to employment outside our hospital setting. This Program puts new and potential recruits in contact with our community business professionals and does the networking for them. Our goal is a smooth transition for physicians and their families.
In 2006, the Committee produced an award-winning DVD, "Portraits of Rural Practice." To receive a complete "Physician Information Package", please contact:

Med Week 2011 gets a special pop of colour!

Students from Queen's University model their handmade surgical hats, courtesy of the Townsend House Sewing Group based at #1 Sewing in Campbellford. Owner Pauline Francis (L) was on hand to see the finished products. This idea was made possible by Dr. Glenn Gibson, pictured centre, who kindly offered up his hat pattern to the group! All resident physicians and medical students who visit Trent Hills will be receiving the special hats. Thank you #1 Sewing!
