"Portraits of Rural Practice" was produced by cinematographer Michael Boland for the Trent Hills Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee. The video brings the Trent Hills community alive, showcasing all it has to offer. The DVD was the 2006 Rural Ontario Medical Program (ROMP) video competition winner. A $5,000 prize was awarded to the Committee to be used for ongoing recruitment activities.
ROMP plays an active role in the recruitment and retention of physicians to many rural communities in South Central Ontario. The video is shared across the Province with medical students, residents and physicians at the six Ontario Medical Schools, resident retreats, recruitment and retention task force meetings, and various other ROMP events.
"On behalf of the Committee, I’d like to thank Michael Boland for his work in producing this wonderful story." Kelly Isfan, CMH President and CEO
