Central Bookings for Diagnostic and Operating Room Procedures

Central  Bookings schedule most diagnostic procedures including x-rays, ultrasounds, echocardiograms, bone mineral density and pulmonary function tests. Clinic appointments with specialists are also booked through Central Bookings.

A referral or requisition is forwarded to the department from your physician. A booking clerk will then call you to schedule your appointment. Appointments are scheduled based on urgency.  If your referral is non-urgent you should hear back within three to four working days.

Central Bookings also schedules procedures  done in the Operating Room.  Once it is decided you need surgery, your referral  is forwarded to  Central Bookings. A representative will contact you regarding paperwork, preparation, etc.
